I’ve been reading and writing since I was a little girl, wanting to attend Mallory Towers or join the Babysitters Club. I‘d write stories, poems and plays about the heartbreaks and injustices of the day. I never stopped. I completed a journalism degree and quickly fell into the world of politics. I wrote articles, speeches and press releases from Brussels to Lebanon and have met and advised six UK Prime Ministers , three US Presidents and countless other interesting people. Throughout, I read at least a book a week and wrote short stories to keep me sane. It's only recently the book i’ve had in my head for ten years has been put to paper (special thanks to my little East Neuk coastal town for the year round seaside inspiration), my reading is being put to good use with my monthly reviews, and my short stories are seeing the light of day.
I’d love to see you on Instagram.com/sarahsbookwormery so we can chat about the latest books you‘re reading as well as your all time favourite books & characters. Tag me into any of your blogs, thoughts or great book pics @sarahsbookwormery. I ‘d love to hear your feedback on my reviews, short stories and one day, my novel.
Please keep chatting, this wont be any fun without you.
Audrey has lived with me for nearly nine years. We first met at the SSPCA in Cardonald, Glasgow after she'd been abandoned. They couldn't age her but suspected around three, so she's getting on a bit now. Not that you'd notice, she's still getting up to adventures and completely disregards her arthritis to go tearing after her great love, a tennis ball. Her other favourite things are pizza, and generally whatever you're eating. She'd be delighted to hear from you.
